  • Professor Mohammad Rezaur Rahman, Professor M. Shah Alam Khan and Professor Md. Munsur Rahman and Professor Mashfiqus Salehin attended the international conference "Deltas in Times of Climate Change II" during 24-26 September 2014. In that conference Professor M. Shah Alam Khan acted as a member of the "Scientific Committee" and Convenor of the theme on "Freshwater Management". He also chaired two sessions. In the conference Professor Mohammad Rezaur Rahman presented a paper titled as “Natural Hazards and Migration in the Coastal Region of Bangladesh”. Mashfiqus Salehin also presented named as “Special Variation in Soil Salinity in Relation to Hydro-Climatic Factors in Southwest Coastal Bangladesh”. A poster named as “Sediment Re-circulation in the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna Estuarine and its Implication for Ecosystem Services” was presented by Professor Md. Munsur Rahman .

  • Professor G M Tarekul Islam attended a workshop named as "Global Observation of Forest and Land Cover Dynamics (GOFC-GOLD)- System for Analysis, Research and Training (START) Regional Network Data Initiative Workshop" organized by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center and Boston University during 28th of July to 15th of August. There he presented a paper names as “Land Use and Land Cover Change Detection in Kaptai Lake Basin”
  • Professor M. Shahjahan Mondal participated in a workshop "An Investment Framework of the Project titled “Improving Surface Water Irrigation in Coastal Areas and Sylhet Division in Bangladesh (TCP/BD/3303)”, organized by Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) during 17-18 November, 2013.
  • Professor G M Tarekul Islam participated in a workshop named as "International Conference on the Asian Monsoon and Climate Change" from 20th to 21th January, 2014 at Islamabad, Pakistan. He delivered a lecture on "Impact of Climate Change on Rainfall and its Implications in Urban Drainage Systems in Three Coastal Towns in Bangladesh" as an invited speaker there.
  • Professor G M Tarekul Islam, Professor Sujit Kumar Bala and Professor A. K. M. Saiful Islam participated in “Crop Forecasting and Loss Assessment in Flash-flood Prone Haor Regions through Remote Sensing Technique” workshop organized by AIT and BARI.
  • Professor A. K. M. Saiful Islam participated in a workshop titled as “Action on Climate Change in South Asia- In Invitation to participate in National Consultation Workshop " on 9th  March, 2014.
  • Professor G M Tarekul Islam participated in “National Consultation Workshop on Flood Early Warning Dissemination Process” workshop organized by IUCN and  ActionAid on 11th  March, 2014.
  • Professor G M Tarekul Islam participated in the workshop "Strengthening Educational and Research Collaboration among the Hindu Kush Himalayan (HKH) Universities for Promoting Sustainable Mountain Development in the HKH Region" in Pakistan from 28th to 29th October, 2013.
  • Professor A. K. M. Saiful Islam participated in the workshop "Exchange of Community-based Disaster Management Policy Implementation and Coordination" organized by UNDP during 22-23 October, 2013 and presented a paper titled "Flood forecasting and early warning in Bangladesh for disaster preparedness and management".
  • Professor A. K. M. Saiful Islam participated in the workshop "Knowledge Exchange on International Waters (KEIW)" funded by DFID held from 1st to 10th October, 2013 at USA.
  • Professor M. Shah Alam Khan participated in the Initiating Workshop “The Second UCCRN Assessment Report on Climate Change and Cities (ARC3-2)” held from 17th to 19th September, 2013 and now is working as a co-lead Author of this report for the chapter “Coastal Zones”.
    Professor A. K. M. Saiful Islam participated in "International Waters Cooperation Project Workshop" during 29-30th September organized by Yunnan and Tsinghua Universities and presented the paper "Water Allocation and Transboundary Water Issues for Bangladesh".
  • Professor M. Shahjahan Mondal, Ms. Sonia Binte Murshed, Ms. Sara Nowreen and Ms Shampa participated in the workshop "Execreta Does Matter" organized by Centre for Science and Environment, India and Bangladesh Institute of Planners at 4th September, 2013 and Professor M. Shahjahan Mondal presented there a paper titles as "State of Dhaka Rivers and Governance Framework for its Improvement".
  • Professor Shahjahan Mondal gave lectures on “Uses, Demand and Availability of Water in Bangladesh: An Overview” in a training program on “Water Policy, Management and Rights”, organized by Water Rights Forum (WRF) during the time period of 7-8 March and 19-20 April.
  • Professor AKM Saiful Islam took part in the second workshop on “Water Resources in Developing Countries: Planning and Management in a Climate Change Scenario” in Italy on 6-17 May, 2013.
  • Professor Mashfiqus Salehin Participated in the Second Asia Pacific Water Summit, Organized by UNESCO, held in Thailand on 16-20 May, 2013. In this program he took part in “Transboundary Data Sharing for Integrated Water Resources Management” as a panel speaker and gave presentation on “ Integrating IWRM Concept in Transboundary Water Management in GBM basins”.
  • Professor Mashfiqus Salehin took part in a workshop titled “Media Workshop on Changing Jamuna and its effects on Livelihood”, organized by BCAS on 16-17 May, 2013 as a senior resource person and presented a lecture on “Changing Jamuna”.
  • Professor Rezaur Rahman took part in a conference on “The Deltas 2013 Conference in HCMC” in Vietnam on 21-23 May, 2013.
  • Professor Mashfiqus Salehin participated as a resource person in a training program on “Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM): Concepts and Principles” , organized by CEGIS on 1st June, 2013.
  • Professor AKM Saiful Islam took part in a workshop on “Special Training Course on Biometrical Computing with R”, organized by BARI on 15-17 June, 2013 and gave presentation on “ Extreme Climate Indices using RClimIndex Tool”.
  • Professor AKM Saiful Islam participated in a workshop on “Concept of Hydrological and Hydrodynamic Modeling” organized by FFWC, BWDB on 18th June, 2013.
