A day-long workshop on ‘Practical Adaptive Delta Management’ was held at ITN Center, BUET on 24th October, 2018. The workshop was organized by the DeltaCAP project funded by Nuffic-NICHE, the Netherlands. Institute of Water and Flood Management and Department of Water Resources Engineering of BUET are partners in this capacity-building initiative for the implementation of Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100 (BDP 2100).
This workshop was a follow up of BUET participants to an earlier training called ‘Training of Trainers on Adaptive Delta Management’ held during 16-19 August, 2017 at BUET. The workshop introduced adaptive delta management and longer-term planning concepts and tools which would be particularly useful to delta professionals and BDP 2100 implementation. Faculty members and selected Ph.D. Fellows from different departments and institutes of BUET such as Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Urban and
Regional Planning, Architecture, BUET-JIDPUS, and IWFM were invited to participate in this workshop. A total of twenty participants were present in this event.
