Research and Innovation Centre for Science and Engineering (RISE) of BUET has acknowledged
the contribution of faculty members and departments/institutes in securing significant external research funding. The ceremony was held on the 17th of February, 2024, at 3:30 pm in the Seminar room, 8th Floor, ECE Building,BUET, Dhaka 1205.

 

The Institute of Water and Flood Management (IWFM) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has been awarded for Securing Highest External Research Funding in the 2022-23 Fiscal Year. Also two professors from this institute has been awarded for Securing 1st and 2nd Highest External Research Funding in the 2022-23 Fiscal Year.

Professor Dr. A.K.M. Saiful Islam has secured highest external research funding and Professor Dr. Mashfiqus Salehin has secured second highest external research funding in the 2022-23 fiscal year.

Mr. Md. Akhter Hossain, Principal Coordinator of SDG Affairs, has graced the ceremony as the chief guest. Mr. G S M Jafarullah, ndc, Managing Director, BHTPA, and Prof. Dr. Haseena Khan, Member, UGC, was present as special guests. In addition, Mr. M. A. Jabbar, Managing Director, DBL Group, and Prof. Dr. Abdul Jabbar Khan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, BUET, was guests of honor. Prof. Dr. Satya Prasad Majumder, Vice-Chancellor, BUET, has presided over the ceremony.
